The Murderbot Diaries Vol. 1 collects the opening Murderbot stories by Martha Wells, beginning with a security construct that has hacked its own governor module and would rather watch entertainment feeds than deal with human emotion. The collection introduces the series mix of action, corporate danger, dry humor, and reluctant attachment.
